The Greenwood SC Chamber of Commerce will host the 3rd annual SC Student Leadership Conference on November 5th at Lander University.
Presented by Eaton Corporation, the conference has been designed to offer 21st century leadership skills to Greenwood County high school students, providing them with a competitive advantage as they advance to college and careers. “Learning valuable skills, such as time management, communications and public speaking are important, as is exercising leadership and involvement in school clubs, athletics, or community organizations,” said Angelle LaBorde, Chamber CEO. The conference is the result of a vision shared by business leaders of the Greenwood SC Chamber of Commerce and graduates of Leadership Greenwood.
The conference will include a keynote presentation by author and motivational speaker Brooks Harper, interactive workshops led by local educators and business professionals, and the opportunity for students to interact with other students from area Greenwood County high schools.
Interested high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors should see their guidance counselors for an application to attend the conference. All high schools in Greenwood County have been invited to participate. For more information contact Chandler Darling at (864) 889-9314 or Chandler@GreenwoodSCchamber.org.
