Erin Nodine named Lander Associate AD for Student-Athlete Success/SWA

Lander University announced the hiring of Erin Nodine for the position of Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Success/SWA on Tuesday. She worked as a Coordinator of Registered Student Organizations and Service Learning for Lander Student Affairs for two years before becoming a Freshman Admissions Counselor in March of 2018.

"I'm very excited to announce Erin Nodine as our new Associate AD for Student-Athlete Success/SWA," said athletics director Brian Reese. "Erin has been part of the Lander family for a long time and is a creative thinker with an outstanding work ethic. I believe she will have a tremendous impact on our student-athletes and our department."

During her time in admissions, Nodine acted as athletic liaison, coordinating all campus visits for prospective student-athletes and their families, as well as working with coaches to review student-athlete application statuses.

Nodine worked as a student assistant in the athletic department during her time as an undergrad, organizing ticket sales for sporting events and training new student employees on procedures, protocol and office standards. She also managed the intake of booster club mailing and membership information. Nodine served as the president of Phi Mu and was Lander's 2014 Homecoming Queen. She was an EXPO leader in 2012 and 2013, the 2013 Lander Greek Woman of the Year, a 2014 Hall of Leaders inductee, and a Lander Presidential Ambassador.

She was the 2014 recipient of the Dr. Boyce M. Grier Award, given to a student-athlete or support staff member who best exemplifies sportsmanship, integrity, pride in the university and a positive attitude.

"I am excited for an opportunity to give back to a program that gave me so much as a student," said Nodine, "and I am looking forward to working with student-athletes outside of the classroom and off the field through personal and professional development opportunities."

Nodine is a 2014 graduate of Lander with a degree is business administration and holds a master's degree in recreation and sports administration from Western Kentucky.
