Greenwood City guidelines for collection of leaves

Greenwood City ask you follow these rules when placing leaves at the street for City collection:

  1. All leaves raked or removed by a private contractor or service shall be removed by the contractor, landscaping contractor, lawn care service, etc.
  2. Deposit loosely at the curb for vacuum truck pickup by the city crews.
  3. DO NOT mix leaves, limbs, and/or garbage together. Place the items separately at the curb for proper disposal at the landfill.
  4. Leaves SHOULD NOT block a ditch or sidewalk or impede into the roadway.
  5. Place leaf piles at least 3 feet away from other obstacles such as mailboxes, utility poles, and automobiles.

Appreciation

Dear GwdToday, I want to give a big thank you to the dad and his son who gave up their seats for us Tuesday evening at the Wilson Campbell Stadium in Ninety Six.  We were there to see our Grand-daughter perform their Wild Wild West themed marching band show and it was fantastic.
