GPD investigating shooting

GREENWOOD, SC – The Greenwood Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two people injured at about 8 p.m. Saturday night.

Officials with GPD say that they were dispatched to Reynolds Avenue after receiving a call about the shooting. When they arrived, the unknown assailant had left, though it is unclear if they left in a vehicle or on foot.

Two people were shot during the incident. One was shot in the leg, the other in the side. They were both taken to the emergency room at Self Regional Healthcare for treatment of their injuries. As is normally the case when a person with a gunshot wound is brought to the ER, the hospital was locked down for a short time.

GPD continues to investigate the incident.

There is no magic wand that you can wave to stop all of this, the police or no man alive can stop this from happening. Only god himself can. He gave each individual a brain to hopefully use for the right reason, but thats not happening. So lets just continue to pray that this world will change for the better, thats our final choice.

Jerry Peace was voted out because of the light plea bargains he kept handing out. If Stumbo lost a case, that means he tried to get a conviction instead of a shake my finger and send you on your way deal... just sayin...

1st thing, the solicitors office and David Stumbo are not police officers.
2nd of all, violent criminals were already being put in prison for multiple decades under Jerry Peace, so it's not making much of a difference.
3rd, the great new man for justice just lost a case in Lauren's, and a child molester is running free.
It's time for greenwood to wake up and realize its not those in office who can change things, it's the people, and the JURY who keep letting these criminals walk away and keep coming back for more. But everyone has to have someone to blame.

A- more stiff penalties for such childishness or B-we need to teach these idiots how to shoot so they are not wasting our tax dollars
THOUGHT we voted in the right man to resolve this issue, Greenwood is moving on up in the rankings!
