Interested in sharpening your skills to help pass animal protection legislation? You don’t have to be a professional lobbyist to be an important part of the legislative process.
The Humane Society of the United States will be holding a special “Lobby 101” seminar Friday, March 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Greenwood County Library located at 600 South Main Street. Humane Society members, supporters, and other animal advocates are encouraged to attend this free event.
The presentation will share tips for effective animal advocacy and include a discussion of current animal welfare issues being considered at the South Carolina legislature. Those concerned with puppy mills, animal fighting, or generally creating a more compassionate South Carolina, will want to attend this free meeting, and find out what they can do to help.
Visit the Humane Society of Greenwood’s website for more information and to RSVP.
