Woman injured after being struck by car

A woman was injured and transported to the hospital after being struck by a car in the Dollar Tree parking lot at about 6 p.m. Monday evening.

The vehicle, a white Infiniti G35, appeared to be turning left from a row of parking spaces onto the thoroughfare directly in front of the Dollar Tree when it struck the pedestrian. The extent of the woman’s injuries is unknown at this time.

Greenwood County EMS, Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office and South Carolina Highway patrol responded to the scene.

The drivers always get blamed because pedestrians have the right away. Cars are suppose to yield to people crossing.

I hope she is ok. I am not surprised some one got hit bc people speed around there all the time!
