GPD investigating alleged rape of 13-year-old
Thanks for reading GwdToday - Everyday!

The Greenwood Police Department is investigating the alleged rape of a girl who was 13 at the time of the incident and alleges that she now has a child as a result.

According to a report from the Greenwood Police Department, a 17-year-old female contacted police on Sunday morning around 9:30 a.m. to report an incident with her uncle that happened in Feb. 2008. The alleged victim told police that her uncle raped her when she was 13 and that she became pregnant as a result, the report states. The alleged victim told police that she did not say anything because she did not want to “cause problems” in her family and did not want “anyone to look down” on her.

According to the report, the alleged victim told police that her mother had to leave around 5 a.m. to take someone to work at Fuji. The report states that the she told police that her uncle came into her bedroom, covered her mouth with his hand so she could not scream and forced her to have intercourse. The alleged victim also reportedly told police that she had spoken to her mother about previous incidents where her uncle molested her and that her uncle had tried to rape other girls as well, but has not been caught.

The report states that the alleged victim told police that she is coming forward now because her 4-year-old son is asking questions about his father. She also told police that she was willing to submit to a DNA test to prove that her uncle is the father of the child, according to the report.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Even though that's ur uncle its good that u finally got this out to the police because there isn't no telling who else he done did it to or who else he will do it to.he deserves to be put in jail for a very long time. GOD WILL SEE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY THROUGH THE STORM

How do u think her mother feels. Doesn't the report say she just came out with it? She didn't want any one to look down on her. She was only a baby and was scared and didn't know what to do but now she came out an told so she wouldn't have to hurt an cry at night because of what she is holding in.

Young lady may God the Father give you the strength you need during this time of your life. Please know you are a very brave young lady to bring this 'secret' out into the open. I pray that you have many people around you, comforting you and giving you guidance. I applaud your bravery and for raising your son with a kind and loving heart.

wonder how her mother can live with herself after ignoring her own daughters report..this man could have been stopped a long time before now..and should have been!
It took a brave young lady for her to step up now..Lord, give her strength to continue to push forward, so others will remain unharmed in his path. amen
