Two people were arrested after reports of a hit and run that occurred at a Huddle House restaurant in Greenwood.

According to the police report the two were in a stolen vehicle and they fled the scene on foot prior to the police arriving.

The Greenwood County Bloodhound Team responded and the dogs tracked the suspect’s trail to an abandoned home on Florida Ave in Greenwood.  The two suspects were found inside the residence.

Daniel Wayne Reynolds, 33 of 1067 Highway 25 N, Edgefield SC and Cierra Leann Driggers, 26 of 200 Sandyridge Road, Graniteville SC were both arrested and charged with burglary.  Reynolds was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage.

Driggers told police that she was asleep when the accident occurred and that she and Reynolds left the scene in fear of the law.  When they came up on the abandoned home on Florida Ave, she said Reynolds gained access to the home but wasn’t sure how but they entered through the back door.

Reynolds told police that he found a key next to the back door on a window frame.

The property they entered is actually up for sale.
