An arrest has been made in connection with the robbery that happen this morning at Lakelands Federal Credit Union on Edgefield Street.
According to Greenwood City Police, a black male entered the business, presented a long weapon and demanded money from the teller. The suspect then fled from the bank in a black sedan heading south.
This afternoon, investigators located that vehicle in McCormick. They then received a tip that the suspect was at a business in Greenwood. Police responded to that location and found the suspect walking across the parking lot.
Adam Teon Settles, 35 of Greenwood was arrested and charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Settles was transported to the Greenwood County Detention Center.
Fortunately no one at Lakelands Federal Credit Union was injured during the incident.
