GREENVILLE, S.C. – Countybank is pleased to announce Jim Fowler has been named to the position of Executive Vice President of Corporate Banking and Strategic Initiatives. He is a second generation banker with over 34 years of experience in the financial industry.

Fowler is a graduate of Wofford College as well as the North Carolina School of Banking and the Southeastern Trust School at Campbell University. Over the past 19 years, he has played an instrumental role in Countybank’s success, holding leadership positions in each of the bank’s lines of business, from retail and commercial banking, to positions with Countybank Trust & Investments Group, Countybanc Insurance and Countybank Mortgage.

Fowler is involved in a variety of community organizations, including being a founding board member of the Lakelands Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and serving on board of the Caine Halter YMCA in Greenville. He is a director and trustee of the Greenwood First Presbyterian Church Endowment, Secretary/Treasurer of the Independent Banks of South Carolina, a member of the United Way Palmetto Society, past director of the Piedmont Technical College Foundation, and past member of the Self Regional Healthcare and Lander University boards of visitors.
