This morning at Greenwood High School, administration detected a suspicious odor coming from a student. The situation was investigated and administration determined that three students had smoked marijuana in a vehicle prior to arriving at school.
After further investigation, school administration and law enforcement found marijuana, a knife, a BB gun, and BB gun ammo in one of the student’s vehicle. The student was charged and detained by law enforcement. All of the students will be disciplined in accordance to the Student Rights & Responsibilities handbook.
“We appreciate GHS administration and local law enforcement working together to complete a thorough investigation of this incident,” Superintendent Darrell Johnson stated. “The system is working and we will remain proactive in dealing with these types of situations. As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.”
