On Jan 1, 2019 around 7 a.m, a female homeowner found a man asleep on her couch after breaking into her home.
Saul Martinez Gonzalez, 33 and listed as homeless was arrested and charged with 1st degree burglary.
According to the report, the homeowner heard a noise sounding like someone kicking at her garage door. She got out of bed to see what the noise was and initially did not see anything suspicious. As she was walking through the house she noticed a man covered with mud asleep on her couch. The homeowner immediately went outside and called 911.
When officers arrived they noticed fresh footprints on the garage door and they found Gonzalez asleep on the couch inside.
They also noticed that the kitchen and living room appeared to have been rummaged through.
Officers woke up Gonzalez and placed him under arrest. They retrieved a Mexico I.D. and four .22 caliber bullets from his pocket. They also noticed a strong alcohol odor on Gonzalez.
Earlier that morning an Officer responded to a call at another location where a homeowner also found Gonzalez lying in her driveway around 4 a.m. She told him to leave her property. It appeared that he attempted to kick in a storage door to her garage as well. A phone was recovered at this location which had pictures of Gonzales on the phone and believed to belong to him.
