On Tuesday, Feb 26, 2019 a woman visited Westview Middle School in an effort to have her child dismissed. When met at an entrance by an employee, they asked for her ID. She said she did not have one and was there to have her child dismissed. Per policy of the school, the employee told her she must have ID to enter. The woman became irate and began to threaten the employee.
Calhoun, Starkista Sunshan, 31 of 408 Foundry Road, Greenwood SC was arrested and charged with threatening person of public employee and public disorderly conduct.
According to the report, Sunshan got upset and began using profanity at the employee in a threatening manner. They reported Sunshan saying “Wait until I see you. I’m going to beat your (explicit words)”. When the employee was contacting the Assistant Principal, Sunshan also said “yes you heard what I said, I am threatening you. I’m going to beat the f--- out of you”.
Later that morning, a man called the school and apologized for his daughter’s behavior.
