The Greenwood Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host a community yard sale, June 15th in the parking lot of New Spring Church at1306 Hwy 72 Bypass in Greenwood SC to raise funds for annual scholarships given to area high school seniors.
Todd Damon, owner of Smell My Smoke BBQ, is supporting the fundraising effort by selling barbeque on site and donating the profits to the Chapter. This is an ongoing effort by Damon to support community organizations that exist to serve others. “I want to give back to the community, especially if the effort supports positive efforts youth are making.” This event allows Damon to help the Sorority’s Chapter provide scholarships for seniors in Greenwood, Abbeville, McCormick, and Saluda counties.
“We appreciate Mr. Damon and the Smell My Smoke team partnering with the Greenwood Alumnae Chapter as we work toward fulfilling our mission to serve and uplift our community” says Allison Bishop who serves as president of the chapter. All are welcome to the event to shop or sell. Contact Cherie Martin for space to sell at 864-993-5192.
