Greenwood City Police responded to a call on Monday after 911 received a call stating a man was threatening two female victims with a knife and to burn their house down.
Robert Anthony Rappley, 60 of White Oak Lane in Greenwood was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence 1st Degree.
According to the police report, Rappley became upset after finding out that a Hispanic man purchased a case of beer for his daughter and that he had to feed this man for buying the beer.
One of the victims told the police that the argument occurred when Rappley took one of the victim’s beers without asking. Rappley then went inside the house and came back out with a kitchen knife in hand, threatening to kill them. The victim also said Rappley put the knife up to her face. Then Rappley picked up a gas can and threatened to burn the house down.
