“You’re The Best Thing That Ever Happened” was the theme of the Burton Center Ball last Thursday night. Over 500 people enjoyed an evening of delicious food, music and dancing. The Burton Supremes opened with two songs before the Swingin’ Medallions took the stage. The Swingin’ Medallions never disappoint. They have a way of drawing people into the music, which was evident as people danced all night long.
“What a magical, beautiful evening! So many people made this unforgettable ball possible. We hope it was the best time they have ever had,” stated Laurie Cordell, Interim Executive Director.
The Ball, held every two years, is made possible by the Burton Center Foundation and the people who provide support. “We thank the Swingin’ Medallions, Burton Supremes, Lee’s Barbecue, Piedmont Technical College, Lander University Nursing Department, our many volunteers, dedicated staff members and everyone who made this evening possible,” stated Cordell.
