Today a Greenwood County Judge denied bond for the man charged in the shooting incident that occurred yesterday at the Quick Pantry store located on Emerald Road.
Quentico Jason Dunlap of 629 Little Mountain Road, Ninety Six was taken into custody and charged with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
The shooting occurred Monday around 2:46 pm. When deputies arrived, they found a victim with a gunshot wound to the leg and transported him to Self Regional Healthcare.
Minutes later, deputies along with the assistance of the Ninety Six Police Department, Criminal Investigations Division and other responding officers located and initiated a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle on Little Mountain Road in Ninety Six.
Dunlap was arrested and transported to the Greenwood County Detention Center.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Dunlap and the victim did know each other and was not a random act.
