Connect Young Professionals, the Greenwood SC Chamber’s young professionals’ organization is seeking nominations for its 10th annual awards program recognizing young community leaders. The “Greenwood Under 40 Stars” awards, to be presented during an awards reception on Tuesday evening, December 10, 2019, will honor emerging leaders who strive for the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, who excel in their professions, strive to be engaged in the community and serve as role models for other young professionals.
Nominations are now open to male or female residents of the greater Greenwood area between the ages of 21 - 40. Nominees are not required to be a member of Connect YP. Greenwood area businesses are encouraged to look within their ranks to find young, career-minded individuals who meet the following criteria for nomination:
• Individuals who are emerging leaders demonstrating excellence, creativity and initiative in her/his business or profession.
• Individuals who seek opportunities to be involved in the life of the community.
• Individuals who clearly serve as role models among their peers, both personally and professionally.
A Selection Committee consisting of a diverse group of leaders from the community will review all nomination forms and select the “Greenwood Under 40 Stars” recipients. The deadline for nominations is Friday, November 8, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Nomination forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce, 110 Phoenix Street, or online at GreenwoodSCchamber.org/connect-young-professionals.
