Cadette Girl Scout Troop 1185 of Greenwood delivered a baby basket to Self Regional Hospital on Oct. 31, 2019 to honor Juliette Gordon Low the founder of Girl Scouts who was born on Halloween in 1860. The Girl Scout troop donated a gift basket to be given to the first female baby born at Self Regional Hospital on the founder’s birthday. The Girl Scouts enjoyed shopping and filling the basket with a variety of items for the newborn baby.
The troop also included information that they had researched about the dangers of loud noises and second hand smoke to infants. The Cadettes hope that the parents enjoy the books, toys, bottles, and “Future Girl Scout” onesie.
New Girl Scout troops are forming now. If you would like information on how to volunteer as a leader or join a troop, please contact Tiffany Skelton at email@example.com.
