SPF North America help support Greenwood Humane Society with 20,000 pounds

SPF North America, the Hodges’ producer of pet food flavors, recently donated over 20,000 pounds of natural cat food to the Humane Society of Greenwood.  This pet food donation is the largest the Humane Society has ever received.  The HSOG primarily relies on the community and local stores for in-kind donations of pet foods for the dogs and cats housed at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter.

Puckett Homestead providing special lifetime memories

On November 15th, the QDMA Lakelands Branch hosted a Youth Hunt at the Puckett Homestead in Troy, SC. First time Hunters invited to participate were from the Connie Maxwell Children's Home in Greenwood, SC, South Carolina DNR's Take One, Make One Program, local 4-H Groups and QDMA's Rack Pack.

Six in custody following meth lab bust

The Greenwood County Drug Enforcement Unit busted another meth lab, this one with about 300 grams of meth, Wednesday night at a home on Pine Ridge Drive. Six people were arrested, making a total of 11 people arrested for manufacturing meth in the last three days.
