Boil Water Notice issued for Willard Road area

The Greenwood CPW advises the residents and businesses on from 100 to 808 Willard Road to include Ferncliff Subdivision . located in Greenwood County, to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to drinking or cooking.

Due to a contractor cutting water line   low  pressures and no water in this service area have been detected.  Low pressure or no water in this service area could cause the water in this area to become contaminated.   Immediate actions are being taken to correct this problem and protect the water system. Although contamination is not a foregone conclusion, nor is it necessarily expected, as a precaution, customers in the affected area should continue to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior toconsuming any water (drinking or cooking) until otherwise notified by the Greenwood CPW.  Also, any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes

Greenwood CPW regrets this inconvenience.  Once sampling confirms the safety of the water, Greenwood CPW will issue aNotice Rescinding the Boil Water Advisory.  If you should have any questions, you may call the Greenwood CPW at 864-942-8100.
