Three Lander men's soccer players earn United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region honors

Following a run to the NCAA Southeast Regional championship match, three Lander men's soccer players have garnered All-Southeast Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches.

Freshman midfielder Thibault Chretien and junior defender Jordan Skelton were selected to the All-Southeast Region first team, while senior forward Sam Lofts earned a second-team slot.

Chretien, the co-Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year, scored three goals and registered six assists on the season. The Laval, France native started 17 matches for the Bearcats, ranked second on the team in assists and netted a pair of game-winning goals. He also earned second-team all-Southeast Region honors from the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA).

Skelton was a first-team all-PBC selection, as well as a first-team D2CCA all-Southeast Region performer. The Newcastle, England native started all 20 matches, tied for the team lead with eight goals and recorded three assists on the year. The Bearcat captain also anchored a defense that shut out seven opponents.

Lofts registered eight goals and five assists to lead the Bearcats with 21 points. The Swindon, England native made 16 starts for Lander and recorded six goals in an 11-day span in September.

Lander finished the season with a 13-4-3 overall record, won the Peach Belt Conference regular-season and tournament titles and advanced to the Southeast Regional title match for the first time since 2013.
