GREENWOOD – The No. 19-ranked Lander men's golf team sits in 7th place after two rounds at the 9th annual Bearcat Classic at the par-72, 6,800-yard Greenwood Country Club. The tournament will conclude with the third and final found on Tuesday.
Lander shot an 8-over 584 on the first day and is 13 strokes back of tournament leader Young Harris. Lincoln Memorial is in second-place, four strokes back. Lenior-Rhyne enters Tuesday in third place.
Conor Richards is tied for 6th at 143, while Jon Parker used a 68 in the second round to move into a tie at 12th at 144.
Michael Brodie is tied for 36th at 148, James Bartlett sits in a tie for 43rd at 149 and Chris Kendall rounds out the starting five in a tie for 94th at 161.
Individually, Roberto Garagorri is tied for 82nd with 156, Garrett Atkinson is tied for 86th at 157 and Braeden Evans is 101st at 170.
Lander will tee of Tuesday morning at 8:29 a.m. and will be paired with Coker and Georgia College.
