8U Game #1

Home Team - Score:  Fireflies – 6

Away Team - Score:   Rockets – 5


Game Summary:  The Fireflies and Rockets battled it out in want had to be a candidate for game of the night.  The Rockets quickly showed they were there to win after putting two runs on the board in the top of the first inning off of a 2-run double by Coby Scott, scoring Tyler Mapes and Luke Mathis. The Fireflies put up one run of their own in the bottom half of the inning.  Thanks to the help of the Rockets’ bottom part of the lineup, they were able to put up 3 more runs to build their lead to 5-1 in the top of the 3rd inning.  The Fireflies would not be denied as they scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rdinning, all with 2 outs.  Both teams were held scoreless in the 4th inning.  Going into the 5th inning, the final due to time, the Rockets were unable to put a run across the board.  With 1 out in the bottom of the 5th, Cooper Lantz hit a game winning double to right field with Michael Davis scoring the winning run.

8U Game #2

Home Team - Score:  Braves – 9

Away Team - Score:   Young Guns – 17


Game Summary:  The Braves defense couldn't hold up to the multiple hits brought on by the Young Guns. The Young Guns scored runs in each of the 6 innings. The Braves battled, but could only put up multiple runs in 3 of 6 innings.


Hitting Stats – Braves:  Eli Vahjen (2-3), Madden Davis (2-3), Coleson Marino (3-3), Tanner Lloyd (3-3), Eli Stroup (3-3), Maddon Rhodes 1/3(1-3), Will Thompson (1-2)

10U Game

Home Team - Score:  River Bandits – 4

Away Team - Score:   Crushers – 5


Game Summary:  The game between the Crushers and the River Bandits turned into an instant classic.  In the bottom of the last inning, the River Bandits had the bases loaded with two outs, only needing one run to tie and 2 runs to win.  On the next hit, Max Grant made a great catch to end the game with a win for the Crushers.

12U Game

Home Team - Score:  Cubs – 9

Away Team - Score:  Senators – 6


Game Summary:  The Cubs and Senators played a hard fought game with the Cubs prevailing in the end.  The Senators struck first with 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning by Rylee Latham and Marnarien Chamberlain.  The Cubs answered with 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning as Ryan Stone and Andrew Driver crossed the plate.  Both teams were held scoreless in the 2nd inning.   The Senators scored 3 runs in the top of the 3rd inning to push their lead to 5-2.  The Cubs scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning as Hampton Ashley and John Aiden Helms scored.  The Senators were held scoreless in the top of the 4th.  The Cubs mounted their comeback in the bottom of the 4th inning as Hunter Archibald reached first base due to catcher interference.  Brissy Jackson then reached first base on a fielder’s choice, Christian Morton walked to 1st, and John Aiden Helms was intentionally walked to load the bases.  Ryan Stone would not forget about the intentional walk as he drove the ball into the outfield to score 3 runs for the Cubs. Hampton Ashley followed with a hit to score Stone and scored as the game ended to give the Cubs the win 9-6.
