City of Greenwood/Greenwood in Bloom to host Arbor Day celebration

The City of Greenwood and Greenwood in Bloom plan to celebrate Arbor Day in South Carolina this Friday, December 1 in front of the Veterans Center at 2 PM located at 106 Main St. N.  The 1934 SC General Assembly designated the 1st Friday in December as SC Arbor Day, thus signaling the start of their tree planting season. It is an ideal time to plant trees, care for trees, & celebrate trees.

Guided Hike of Musgrove Mill Battlefield

Clinton - On Saturday, December 2, 2017, Musgrove Mill State Historic Site will offer a guided hike of the battlefield trail.  The American Revolutionary war battle, which occurred in the early morning hours of August 19, 1780, was a significant patriot victory, and was instrumental in leading up to the Battle of Kings Mountain.
