Back in early October, Lander Police were notified that an ATM machine was missing from their campus. After reviewing security camera footage, they were able to see two black male suspects approach the ATM carrying a black sheet and a dolly. They could see the suspects unplug the machine, rock it back and forth until it broke free from the base, place it on the dolly and roll it out of the building.
At the time Lander Police were not able to identify the suspects. The next day they were notified by Aiken County Sheriff’s Office that they had arrested three individuals who were in possession with the ATM machine.
One of the individuals matched the suspect caught on video taking the machine from Lander.
Ishmael Rashaad Muhammad, 21 of Wagener SC was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny more than $2,000 but less than $5,000.
The other suspects caught in Aiken with Muhammad were arrested on charges as well but they were not seen on video taking the machine from Lander. The other suspect seen on the video remains unidentified at this time.
