A Greenwood man was arrested after Police chased him down in relationship to someone firing shots on Gilliam Court.
Griffin, Lamarion Dontray, 21 of Greenwood was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen gun and failure to stop on lawful command.
According to the report, Greenwood City Police officers were responding to an incident where someone reported shots being fired on Gilliam Court around 2 a.m. this morning. As officers arrive, they see two men sitting in a vehicle and the driver exits the vehicle and runs. Other responding officers were able to apprehend Griffin. As they searched his vehicle they found a stolen .45 caliber handgun within reach of the driver’s seat.
Griffin was arrested and transported to the Greenwood County Detention Center.
