HODGES, SC – This Tuesday, Rep. McCravy commended members of the Hodges-Cokesbury Volunteer Fire Department for a combined 200 years of service to the town of Hodges.

Among those recognized were two of the fire department’s founding members: Hubert Minor and Johnny Reeves, each with 41 years of experience. Both are founding members of the Hodges-Cokesbury Volunteer Fire Dept. “That’s the longest service record I’ve seen at any volunteer fire department yet!” Rep. McCravy announced.

Also recognized were Jeff Havird with 30 years of experience and service, Chief Rodney Jones with 24 years of experience and service, Deputy Chief Travis Reeves, Jorge Jones, and Corey Chapman, with 20 years of experience and service each. Mayor Michael George, Councilwoman Renee Tinsley, and Councilwoman Leecie Addison of the Hodges Town Council attended the recognition, as well as other members of the fire department and their families.

“Hodges can be very proud of their fire department.” Rep. McCravy said. “They’re a dedicated group.” Special thanks to Deputy Chief Reeves for organizing the recognition.
