The Town of Ware Shoals informs their residents that they will begin conducting precautionary spraying for mosquitos in a small area of the county at the recommendations of DHEC. This will also include areas within both Greenwood and Laurens counties.
Trucks will be traveling in these areas spraying at least three times over a certain period of time. They will conduct spraying either early in the morning just after sunrise or late in the evening just before sunset. These are the times the mosquitos are most active.
The product, according to official is safe and meets all federal and state requirements for public areas. In addition, DHEC will conduct mosquito trapping in the area to help determine the length of time needed to conduct spraying.
