WARE SHOALS, SC: Representative John McCravy commended six long-time firefighters from Ware Shoals Volunteer Fire Department at the Ware Shoals Town Council Meeting on Tuesday, October 17th.

The Ware Shoals Volunteer Fire Department and its members have been dutifully serving the people of Ware Shoals for decades. The commended firefighters have a century and a half of firefighting and life-saving experience among them and are dedicated to their hometown and its safety. Their families, friends, and neighbors applauded them as they received their certificates of commendation from the SC House of Representatives. Ware Shoals can be very proud of the service and loyalty of these men:

  • Chief Rodney Boyter – 20 years of firefighting experience
  • Dwayne Robinson – over 30 years of firefighting experience
  • Bryan Butler – 35 years of firefighting experience
  • Greg Lindley – 26 years of firefighting experience
  • Joey Ashley – 29 years of firefighting experience
  • Rocky Boland – 33 years of firefighting experience

“I have always been amazed by all the fine, upstanding firefighters I’ve met by visiting local fire departments.” Rep. McCravy said. “The ones in Ware Shoals are no exception. I’m grateful to have honorable men like the Ware Shoals firemen in my district.”
