Congratulations to Todd Cheek of Clinton for winning the drawing held at the Laurens County Shrine Race for a Bush Hog Heavy Duty Zero Turn Mower.

Two sponsors of the race, Wilson Tractor, Inc. of Newberry and Bush Hog, Inc. of Selma, AL, donated this 61” cut mower to raise additional funds to be donated to the Shriners Hospitals for burned and crippled children.

This year marks the 37th Annual Shrine Race held by the Laurens County Shrine Club.  A. Carroll Barker and George O. Thompson, Jr., Past Hejaz Temple Potentates and members of the Laurens County Shrine Club, were this year’s co-chairmen of the shrine race committee.

During the race Barker and Thompson expressed their deep gratitude to the sponsors, contributors, Laurens County Speedway and race fans who made this event such a success.

All money raised from the Laurens County Shrine Race, Drawing and Sales is donated to the Shriners Hospitals.
