The United Housing Connections Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Lorain Crowl, CFRE, as the organization’s new Executive Director, effective immediately. Lorain’s appointment is a clear reflection of the organization’s vision for the future, as well as the organizational values of advocacy, compassion, and action. United Housing Connections continues to have a major positive impact on the homelessness issue in the Upstate, and UHC is excited at what Lorain’s unique experience in fundraising can contribute to the organization.
Lorain is a native of Greenville, SC and a graduate of Lander University. She has been in non-profit leadership for more than 20 years, raising funds for non-profit organizations across the Upstate, as well as providing leadership training, non-profit board development and organizational strategic planning. As a Certified Fundraising Professional, she has raised more than 20 million dollars over her career to help fight hunger, teen drug and alcohol abuse and child abuse in our community.
“We are all so excited to have Lorain as our Executive Director,” said Board Chair, Jessica Salvini, Esq. “She has the board’s full support and trust. We are confident that United Housing Connections is good hands. We look forward to working with Lorain to expand our mission and provide more permanent supportive housing and services for the most vulnerable in our community.”
There is enormous opportunity for United Housing Connections that lies ahead, and they couldn’t be happier with Lorain Crowl taking on the Executive Director position to help the organization achieve continued success.
