Hundreds of festival lovers took over the Ninety Six Park Friday as the SC Festival of Stars kicked off their Independence Day Celebration. If the first day was an indicator of fun, then today is going to be a blast.
The celebration started as organizers held their annual ribbon cutting ceremony on Main Street.
Then the fun began as attendees enjoyed games, rides, vendors and food. The day ended with one of our favorite local bands, The Jake Bartley Band.
Today starts off with the Red, White & Blue Parade so everyone can show their patriotic spirit with golf carts, bikes and anyone wanting to join, walk or ride, its all free! The parade starts at 11 a.m.
Be sure to check out the “Huge” Car Show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Watermelon and Hotdog Eating Contest happens in the park from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
This evenings headlining entertainment is none other than Bill Pinkney’s Original Drifters to sing their greatest hits! But first local recording artist Karen Lewis takes the stage at 3 p.m. followed by SPLITSHOT!
And there is so much more, but what draws thousands to Ninety Six is their annual Pyrotecnico Firework Show that takes place around 9:45 p.m.!
Come on out and bring you family and friends and enjoy one of the best small town festivals in the South!
