A Ninety Six man arrested last week after he reportedly threw a rabbit against a wall, forcing the animal to be put down, was arrested Thursday after he allegedly punched his live-in girlfriend numerous times.

Donalds Man Acquitted of Criminal Sexual Conduct

An Abbeville County jury acquitted Russell Lee Prince of three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor. The indictments involved two children, ages 9 and 10. The trial started on Monday, June 15, 2015, and lasted all week, with the not guilty verdicts announced Friday afternoon.

Lake Hartwell named among the 100 Best Bass Lakes in America by B.A.S.S

Anderson County, SC – In the newly released July/August issue of Bassmaster Magazine, B.A.S.S. named Lake Hartwell among the 100 Best Bass Lakes in America. Since the 2012 inaugural ranking, this is the first time Lake Hartwell has made the list.

Nine Killed in Historic Charleston Church Shooting

Update: 10:30am

Charleston Police have identified the shooter as 21-year-old Dylann Roof, of Lexington, SC. Authorities say a manhunt is underway for Roof.   Roof, 21 has a slender/small build last seen wearing a gray sweat shirt, blue jeans and is clean shaven. He is believed to be driving a dark color Hyundai Elantra with vehicle tag LGF330. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

Individuals wanted in Tidwell Jewelers burglary

During the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 2nd, a burglary was reported at the Tidwell Jewelers in Batesburg-Leesville. The business was entered by three individuals who departed the store with an undisclosed amount of display jewelry.
