Brian King
Staff Writer

GREENWOOD, SC – A collision around 8 a.m. Thursday morning at the intersection of Hwy 702 and Hwy 246 left one man injured.

A truck and a late model car collided after the truck apparently did not yield the right of way at the intersection. There was minimal damage to the truck, but the car was badly damaged. The driver of the car was transported to Self Regional Healthcare to receive treatment for their injuries.

we drive this road sometimes 2 or 3 times a day, and each time we 'hold our breath' when we enter this intersection..many times have I had to stop suddenly, coming home from 96 reach this same intersection and suddenly have to slam on brakes for the car crossing over in front of me, or the oncoming car coming off of hwy 702..people just don't heed to the signs nor the speed that's posted..most are too busy with their phones, or their minds are not on driving.......I think we need flashing yellow lights, at least, so people would use more caution...

How many accidents are going to have to happen at this intersection before something is done to correct it?!?
