Thanks for reading GwdToday - Everyday!

The driver of the vehicle that struck a pedestrian on Hwy. 34 Thursday morning has been charged with not having a S.C. driver’s license.

Records indicate that Sergio Hernandez-Cisneros, 24, of 717 Gage St. in Greenwood, was arrested and charged with not having a S.C. driver’s license following Thursday’s incident.

Hernandez-Cisneros was travelling east on Hwy. 34 in a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis when he struck a pedestrian at about 6:45 a.m. Thursday morning. The 26-year-old victim, whose name has still not been released by SCHP, remains in critical condition at Self Regional Healthcare.

The incident remains under investigation by SCHP’s MAIT team.

I agree with Mack Bolan!!! He said it perfect!!!
If I have to pay for car insurance so should everyone else reguardless of race......purple, blue, ect. Yes we as hard working tax paying people that do the right thing will somehow end up paying the bill for these uninsured people.

If he is uninsured he is a danger to all whether he has a license or not, the victims hospital bill will of course be picked up by us who do have insurance & pay not only high deductibules, but also whatever it cost for our insurance. Illegal or not, if it is OK to drive around without a licence & insurance then why don't we all just drop ours today? I personally find most Mexicans very friendly & courteous, not to mention hard workers, which I can not say about most other people.

Omg!! You stupid people pleeease get off of this page!! This is a write up about an unlicensed man driving a vehicle, which requires a license to drive. Pleeease stop mentioning the young victim's family. If you are looking for a debate on immigration policies, please, direct it to youtube or other blogging sites. Here and NOW is not the time or place. Some people actually care about the victim. And we, people who know him and really care for our brothers and sisters from all walks of life, are checking these pages daily to see if any updates are posted!! Because it's the only way we know what is happening to him because we do not know who we can call!! And to get on here and see the mess you people are posting is ABSOLUTELY Blasphemous!!! If you are not going to send out prayers, don't speak at all!! Remember this: I AM the master of the words that I HAVE NOT SPOKEN, yet I AM A SLAVE to the words that I should have left un-SAID!!!

Wow at sum of these comments! Sum of yall idiots really believe that just bc he had no license or just bc he is mexican that this could have been avoided. Oh and the obama gesture..... Yea, illegal immigrants doin the wrong thing have been a prob way before our sorry president came into office! I have lots of mexican friends that do the right thing and they have every right as I do, A WHITE FEMALE, to live in America bc they went thru the right process of bein legal and r doin the right thing! The man that got hit was not stable minded at all and walks in the rd all the time and cant b seen! Where were his guardians at during this time? Maybe investigators should charge them for the accident since he wasnt bein watched. The man driving the car, yes, he should have a fine for not having a DL bc that is the law.... But not bwing charged for someone else's wrong doings of stepping out in the road. I really hope the man is okay but this is def not a time to be making racial marks! Just bc he is mexican, do yall really think thats the REASON he hit that guy?? NO!! Start using ur brains!!
