Frances Canfield Pinson, 84, resident of 907 E. Laurel Avenue, beloved wife of Henry F. “Red” Pinson, died November 19, 2012 at her home.
Born in Greenwood County, April 17, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Richard Charles and Ester Murphy Canfield. Mrs. Pinson was retired from Greenwood Mills, Adams Plant, and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are two daughters, Rita Goodman McKinney of Cross Hill and Roxie Goodman Pryor of Greenwood; a daughter-in-law, July Goodman of Ninety Six; three sisters, Louise Sprouse, Virginia (Ray) Tippett and Cleo (Don) Farmer, all of Greenwood and one brother, Jimmy (Nancy) Canfield of Waterloo; four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Pinson was predeceased by her first husband, Claude Goodman, a son, James Larry “Red” Goodman and a granddaughter, Candace Golden.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Saxon, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Shane Goodman, John Eric Frank, Scott Goodman, Blake Allen, Brooks Allen, David Patterson and Breanna Patterson.
The family is at the home on E. Laurel Avenue and will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 to 3:00 Wednesday afternoon.
