Jeanette Henderson - Greenwood

Jeanette Merrell Henderson, 89, resident of Oakwood Drive, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at her daughter's home in Greenwood.

Born in Atlanta, GA, June 18, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Homer Perry Merrell and Essie Howse Merrell.  Ms. Henderson retired from Dealers Supply Company of Atlanta and was a member of First Mount Moriah Baptist Church and the Estelle McDaniel Sunday School.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and is survived by her three children, James Casey Henderson and wife Mary of Ware Shoals, Stanley G. Henderson and wife Judy of Waterloo and Jeanne H. Suddeth and husband Ed of Greenwood; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Henderson of Greenwood; one sister, Catherine M. Clark and husband Wendell of Haralson, GA; seven grandchildren, Angie Barrett and husband Tim, Matt Henderson, Josh Henderson and wife Alison, Dustin Suddeth, Adam Henderson and wife Rebecca, Ashlee Annese and husband Nick and Brett Henderson along with nine great-grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews. 

Ms. Henderson was predeceased by a son, Joseph Lynn Henderson, Jr., two sisters, Faye Parham and Alice Anthony Duke and two brothers, Paul and Raymond Merrell.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday at Providence Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Ben Edwards officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 until the hour of service. 

Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.

The family is at the home of Jeanne and Ed Suddeth, 408 Oakmont Circle, Hunters Creek.

Memorials may be made to Providence Pentecostal Holiness Church, 716 Old Abbeville Highway, Greenwood, SC 29649 or to First Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 2107 Mount Moriah Road, Greenwood, SC 29646
