Thomas Williams - Ninety Six

Thomas Alvin Williams, 76, resident of 317 Mill Cabin Road, husband Nina Jean Charles Williams, died August 1, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, August 1, 1941, he was a son of the late Thomas A. and Ruby Tyner Williams.  He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from BF Shaw, Inc., Laurens Plant.  Mr. Williams was a member of Greenwood Shores Baptist Church, Ninety Six American Legion Post #103, V.F.W. Post #8131 and Pipe Fitting Local #421 Union.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are three children, Robin Williams Jennings, Tina Williams Chadwick and husband Scott and Keith Coker and wife Deana, all of Greenwood; five grandchildren, CJ Jennings, John Clay Jennings, Tinsley Chadwick, Caleb Coker and Lauren Coker; two great-grandchildren, Micha Williams and Elton Jackson Jennings; three sisters, Helen Goldman of Ninety Six, Betty Hughes and husband Bobby of Greenwood and Mary Lou Gibert and husband Ervin of Ninety Six; two brothers, James Paul Williams and wife Bonnie and Johnny Franklin Williams and wife Margaret, all of Greenwood; He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews to cherish his memory, including JJ Jordan, a nephew with whom he shared a special bond. 

Mr. Williams was predeceased by a brother, Billy Ray (Patricia) Williams and a sister, Geanie (Jim) Jordan.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sam Hawthorne officiating. 

The family is at the home and will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service Friday afternoon. 

The family request that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Greenwood Shores Baptist Church, PO Box 393, Ninety Six, SC 29666.
