David Fletcher Mooney, 69, of 215 Briggs Ave., Greenwood, widower of Janice Bray Mooney, died Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Fletcher and Martha Hall Mooney. David was a U. S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He retired from Moores Business Forms and attended New Springs Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Tullies.
Surviving are a son, David Scott Mooney of Greenwood; a daughter, Nicole Clark (Charlie) of Greenwood; a sister, Syble Hitt of Ninety Six; a special son-in-law, Wayne Clark; grandchildren, Mathew Mooney, Alex Rodgers, Daniel Amerson, Jeremy Clark, Samantha Clark, Alexis Amerson, Lacy Brown, Damon Clark, Caitlin Clark, Tony Clark, Kameron Amerson, Madison Amerson, Marissa Parks, Kailey Parks and Rebecca Clark; and great grandchildren, Avrianna Robinson, Easton Busbee and Elizabeth Mooney.
Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt Alley officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Mooney, Alex Rodgers, Jeremy Clark, Damon Clark, Tony Clark and Cody Robinson.
Honorary grandchildren are Christian Lucas and Debaron Hughes.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 pm.
