Alice Sue Blackwell Hahn, 72, resident of 6809 Highway 25 North, widow of Frederick Terry “Freddie” Hahn, Sr., passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Hospice House.
Born May 28, 1945, in Waterloo, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Frances Knight Blackwell and was a graduate of Hickory Tavern High School.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ware Shoals.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by three daughters, Alice Hahn of Greenwood, Carrie and husband David Daniel of Hodges and Martha and husband Mark Sorrow of Greenwood; a son, Terry Hahn of Lawrenceville, GA; ten grandchildren, Chelsea (Hunter) Price, Courtney (Cody) Smith, Kristen Daniel, Sumner Sorrow, Samantha Sorrow, Skylar Sorrow, Sawyer Sorrow, Sarah Grace Sorrow, Jacquelyn Hahn and Lauren Hahn and an expected great grandchild, Hollann Rae Price.
The last member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Roy Melvin Blackwell and a sister, Janelle Blackwell Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted 5 PM Sunday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lamar Babb officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Price, Cody Smith, Sawyer Sorrow, Mark Sorrow, David Daniel and Eddie Dodgen.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 5PM Sunday.
