Raymond Smith Sr. - Cross Hill

Mr.  Raymond Smith Sr. 69, of 426 Midway School Road, Cross Hill, SC   husband of Sarah James Smith died October 6, 2017 at his home.

He was born in Hodges, South Carolina May 1, 1948 a son of John Smith and Mary Turner Smith.

He was  a member of Morris Chapel Baptist Church. He was formerly employed with Greenwood Mills and retired from Laurens Co. Public Works.

Surviving is his wife  of the home, two sons, Raymond Smith, Jr. of Port St. John, Florida, Trakus Smith of greenwood; two step sons, Tony James of Cross Hill, SC and Charlie Conway of Ninety-Six, SC; four daughters, April (Merv) Rollinson, Marylyn Smith, Oshay Smith and Kim (Anthony) Chalmers all of Greenwood; one brother, Jerry Smith of Hodges; one sister, Annie Payne of Hodges; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Home going services will be held 1PM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Morris Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Amos Harling officiating and Bishop Oliver T. McCray Jr. presiding.

Mr. Smith will be placed in the church at Noon.

Pallbearers and Flower bearers will be Friends of the family.

The family is at the home 426 Midway  School Road, Cross Hill, SC. Percival Tompkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the Smith family.
