Joe Tucker - Greenwood

Joseph McBerty Tucker, 70, husband of Judy B. Tucker, resident of Oxford Road, died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born May 9, 1947 in Saluda County, he was a son of the late John S. and Ludie Long Tucker, Joe graduated from Piedmont Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He loved to tinker with just about anything and was a master of many things.

Surviving other than his loving wife of 50 years are his children, Joseph Andy Tucker and his wife Jamie; her daughter Joy Belinda Knight and her husband Nathan, all of Greenwood; his grandson Joseph Austin Tucker of Greenwood; his brother, Sproles Tucker and his wife Jan of Greenwood; his sister Alta Cannon of Ninety-Six.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 11 at 11:30 A.M. from Oakbrook Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating. A private family burial will follow.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Wednesday from 10:30 AM to the time of service at Oakbrook Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Jay Cannon, Tony Tucker, Scottie Rushton, Benny Leopard, Yancey Dorn and Rev. Derrick Rash.

Memorials in memory of Joe may be made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont Hospice House, 408 W. Alexander Ave. Greenwood, SC 29646.
