Mary Frances Greene Farmer, 95, former resident of 231 Reynolds Avenue, widow of Woodrow W. Farmer, died Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Saluda Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born in Abbeville County, October 2, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Bessie Shaw Greene. She was formerly employed by Abney Mills, Grendel Plant.
Mrs. Farmer was a Charter Member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Friendship Club of the church. She was also a member of the Mary Pinckney Ouzts Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, Jerry W. and wife Rose Farmer of Saluda; grandsons, David W. and wife Nellie Farmer of Saluda and James Andrew Farmer of Columbia; three great-grandchildren, Jeremy David Farmer, J.C. Waldrop and Justin D. Waldrop; four great-great-grandchildren, Emily Farmer, Natalie Farmer, Hayleigh Waldrop and David Waldrop.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bette Hedden and Rev. Kenneth Freeman officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Seigler, Randy Greene, Jeremy Farmer, J.C. Waldrop, Justin Waldrop, Neil Jones and Tony Dilleshaw.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 Monday evening.
