Thelma Pinson Burbage, 85, former longtime resident of Longview Road in Cross Hill, widow of Perry Rufus Burbage, died Friday, May 11, 2018 at Magnolia Manor.
Born in Cross Hill, July 19, 1932, she was a daughter of the late William Henry and Mary Ella Reeder Pinson. Mrs. Burbage was a homemaker and member of Cross Hill First Baptist Church.
Mom was affectionately known as “Ma, Mama, Meme, Aunt Tick and Pumpkin”. Mama had a sweet and kind spirit about her with a sense of humor and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her three children, John Burbage and wife Kelly of Charleston, Beth Doyle and husband Ricky of Greenwood and Anita Raines and husband Mark of Whitmire; six grandchildren, Jason Willard and wife Jessica of Greenwood, Amanda Agnew and husband Travis of Pelzer, Paul Burbage and wife Melanie of Charleston and Benjamin Burbage of Texas, Caroline Raines of Spartanburg and Will Raines of Whitmire; six great-grandchildren, Sawyer Burbage, Obadiah, Eli and Gloria Agnew and Keaton and Bryson Willard; two sisters-in-law, Christine Pinson and Frances Nations. She was predeceased by two brothers, Roy and Walter Pinson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 Noon Monday at Cross Hill First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Travis Agnew and Rev. Brett Davis officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday at Cross Hill First Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Willard, Benjamin Burbage, John Devore, Ronald Pinson, Joey Pinson, Paul Burbage and Billy Pinson.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
