Rev. Alvis Glenn Yonce, 67, resident of Falcon Court, died June 26, 2018 at his residence.
Born in Columbia, November 17, 1950 to the late Estell Goff and Alton Bruce Yonce. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and proudly served in Desert Storm. Rev. Yonce was an ordained Southern Baptist Minister and served as Associate Pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church and Northside Baptist Church, he retired as Chaplin of Emerald Center.
Surviving are his children, Shirley Campbell (David) of Abbeville, Angie Wellons (Eric) of Conway, Glenn Yonce, Jr. (Gail) of Greenwood, Tammy Tallman of Hodges, Lee Yonce of Abbeville, Timothy Yonce of Lancaster, Tricia Yonce of Columbia, Robin Griffin (Mike) and Ginny Bracher, both of Greenwood; 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; his sisters, Kaye Hickman and Faye Lee (Raymond).
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday July 7, from Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. Jeff Lethco officiating.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until 10:45AM at the funeral home.
