Argaree Collins Gable - Greenwood

Argaree Collins Gable, 89, resident of Greenwood, widow of Will Joe Gable, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018, at Hospice House.

Born March 17, 1929, in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Everett Eugene and Gladys Butler Collins.  She was a graduate of Taylors High School and retired from Park Seed Company.

A member of West Side Baptist Church, she was also a member of the Faith and Hope Sunday School Class.

Surviving are two daughters, Dianne Mayo of Greenwood and Belinda and husband Marvin Massey of Callison; two sisters, Polly and husband Mel Rogers of Hendersonville, NC and Elvera and husband Charlie Shull of Greensboro, NC; five grandchildren, Craig (Deborah) Mayo, Bryan (Jennifer) Mayo, Kym Lovejoy, Jamie Simpson and John Massey; five great grandchildren, Jared Mayo, Haylee Mayo, Joe Lovejoy, Robyn Mayo and Jacob Lovejoy; four great-great grandchildren, Elizabeth Lake, Kaylee Lake, Skylar Godfriend and Will Fingar. 

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Thursday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kyle Richter officiating.  Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Jared Mayo, Jacob Lovejoy, Larry Massey, Aaron Duncan, Jonathan Mayo, Jonathan Massey, John Paul Goodman and Lynn Haddon.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 3 Thursday afternoon.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, SC Chapter, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5850, Greenville, SC  29601, www.alz.org/sc, or Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC  29646, or the Greenwood Soup Kitchen, 929 Phoenix Street, Greenwood, SC  29646.
