Ann Campbell - Hodges

Ann Bagwell Campbell, 69, resident of 1310 Gary Road, wife of Robert Edward “Bob” Campbell, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born January 1, 1950, in Greenwood, she was a daughter of Willie Mae Allen Bagwell and the late Paul William “Jack” Bagwell, Jr.  A 1968 graduate of Greenwood High School, she was also a 1972 graduate of Lander University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology.  Formerly employed with Roses Department Store, Park Seed and Capsugel, she settled down to being a homemaker where she provided nurturing, love and care for her three daughters and her grandchildren.

During Bob’s time in the Air Force, Ann moved around the world with him as they were stationed from New Jersey in the East to Guam in the West.  She enjoyed sightseeing everywhere including doing a tour of Paris alone with nothing more to guide her than a subway map and Bob’s instructions.  In her later days she was an avid attendee of Aquatic Aerobics classes at the YMCA, going up to 3 days a week.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 46 years and her mother of Greenwood; are three daughters, Michele Renee (Jason) Renshaw of Prosper, TX, Christa Campbell (Sam) Phillips of Honea Path, and Beth Campbell (Brandon) Graham of Greenwood; a sister, Jean B. (Jimmy) Parson of Hodges; two brothers, Ronnie (Tammy) Bagwell of Greenwood and Donnie (Connie) Bagwell of Hodges; seven grandchildren, McKenzie Graham, Kaitlyn Phillips, Savanna Graham, Lauren Phillips, Alyssa Graham, Sarah Renshaw and Megan Renshaw.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating.  Entombment will be in the Oakbrook Memorial Park Mausoleum.
