Agnes Tucker Akins 93, widow of Odis T. Akins, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Wesley Commons.
Born in Oconee County, August 21, 1925, she was a daughter of the late James Franklin and Dosia Edney Tucker. Mrs. Akins retired from Abney Mills, Grendel Plant and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She was avid gardener.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
Surviving are daughters, Patricia (Clyde) Ellison and Debra (Mike) Gravley, both of Greenwood; sons, Larry Akins of Ninety Six and Mike Akins of Waterloo; five grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth Akins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3PM Saturday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremiah Henderson officiating. Private family burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Pat and Clyde Ellison, 120 Fairway Court and will receive friends from 2 until 3 Saturday afternoon.
