Paggy Haynie - Greenwood

Peggy Brock Haynie, 69, of Greenwood, SC, wife of James Donald Haynie, died Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Medical University of South Carolina.  She was born in McCormick County to the late Reid Millard and Mary Elizabeth Brown Brock.

Peggy was a member of West Side Baptist Church in Greenwood and the Bereans Sunday School class of the church.  She retired from Bank of America after 15 years of dedicated service. Her happiest times were sharing time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twin sons, Jason and Jonathan Haynie; three brothers, Eugene, Cal and Wesley Brock; and two sisters, Catherine Langley and Gladys McKittrick.

Mrs. Haynie is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, James Donald Haynie, of the home; two daughters, Carmen Wash (Jeff) of Greenwood, and Crystal Collins (Lee) also of Greenwood; four granddaughters, Alexis Weaghington (Luke), Carey Wash, Caitlin Collins, and Cassie Collins, all of Greenwood; one grandson, Chase Collins of Greenwood; three sisters, Evelyn James, Teeny Buchanan and Hazel Kidd (Ed) all of Greenwood; one brother, Jimmy Brock (Brenda) of Ninety Six; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Blyth Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at West Side Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Richter officiating.

Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens following the service.

Nephews will be pallbearers.

Honorary escort will be members of the Bereans Sunday School class of West Side Baptist Church, David and Elissa Bradberry, and Terry and Lindsay Abee.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Haynie, may be sent to the Greenwood Miracle League, 2605 Highway 72/221 East, Greenwood, SC 29649, in honor of her grandson, Chase Collins, or to West Side Baptist Church Building Fund, 215 Bypass 225, Greenwood, SC 29646.
